UV Scanners
5600-90A 90° U.V. Scanner
This sensor features high sensitivity ultraviolet (U.V.) for monitoring gas or
oil flames which cycle on and off frequently. The Eclipse flame safeguard checks
for a short-circuited, or "run-away" scanner at the beginning and end of each
flame cycle. The scanner is UL listed, CSA certified and FM approved. It comes
with a 6 foot cable lead. Safeguarded against reverse connection, the 90° U.V.
Scanner operates with 6000 Series Multi-Flame and 6500 Series controllers.
5600-91 U.V. Scanner
This sensor features high sensitivity ultraviolet (U.V.) for monitoring gas or
oil flames which cycle on and off frequently. The Eclipse flame safeguard checks
for a short-circuited, or "runaway" scanner at the beginning and end of each
flame cycle. The scanner is UL listed, CSA certified and FM approved. It comes
with a 122 cm (4 ft.) shielded instrument cable lead and a 1/2" F.N.P.T.
insulated nylon coupling. Ideal for high temperature applications, the U.V.
Scanner operates with the 6000 Series Multi-Flame and Series 6500 Bi-Flame controllers.
5600-92SC Solid State UV/IR Scanner (Discontinued)
This scanner consists of a photo-diode and electronic network. The photo-diode
and electronics are sealed in an aluminum housing, providing protection against
dust, oil and water. This U.V. scanner is used to sense infrared through
ultraviolet light and responds to the flicker on gas and oil flames. This device
will not produce a flame signal if any internal component fails. It can be used
on burner systems that continously operate longer than twenty-four hours and can
be used in place of a self check scanner.
5602-91 Self-Check U.V. Scanner
This scanner is used for continuous gas or oil flames. A mechanical shutter in
the scanner closes every ten seconds, which is how the Eclipse flame safeguard
checks for a flame signal. If a signal is present, indicating a runaway scanner,
the flame safeguard shuts down the system. The scanner operates with the Series
6000 Multi-Flame and Series 6500 Bi-Flame controllers, and has no scheduled
replacement parts. Factory Mutual (FM) recommends these scanners be used when
any fired equipment is operated continously (more than 24 hours without shutdown).
